RECYCLING & MATERIALS
In order to be able to offer a comprehensive range of Water Bottles in all shapes and sizes, SIGG uses different materials to meet individual customer needs. All materials used are BPA-free. Each product is thoroughly tested before sale, regardless of the production site. Our products are also continuously tested by independent laboratories for compliance with standards and regulations.
ALUMINIUM
The aluminum Water Bottles from SIGG are made from a single piece of high-quality aluminum. The particularly light metal is considered almost indestructible. The inner coating is resistant to fruit acids, tasteless and free from harmful substances. All aluminum Water Bottles are manufactured in our own production facility in Frauenfeld and are recyclable.

18/8 STAINLESS STEEL
SIGG uses high-quality stainless steel for all vacuum-insulated bottles and the Explorer bottles. 18/8 stainless steel is unbreakable and stands for timeless elegance. Water Bottles made from this material also offer optimum hygienic conditions and always remain odorless. After being a reliable companion for many years, the stainless steel bottle can be fully recycled at the end.
GLASS
Glass bottles are good for you and for the environment. The material is food-safe, does not absorb odors, tastes or discoloration and is free from harmful substances. Our Star, Dream and Hot&Cold glass drinking bottles are made of heat-resistant borosilicate glass. The Stella bottles are made from a glass melt of sand, soda and other hand-picked components. The inside of the lid is made of stainless steel so that the contents only come into contact with glass and stainless steel. Water Bottles made of glass ensure a pleasant drinking experience and are fully recyclable.
TRITAN
The patented Tritan™ plastic is absolutely free from harmful substances such as oestrogen-active substances and phthalates. The material looks like glass, but is light as a feather, shatterproof, tasteless and odorless and dishwasher-safe up to 90°C. Like all our other materials, Tritan™ is also recyclable.
POLYPROPYLENE
Polypropylene is a very strong and durable plastic that is used for VIVA and Hero Water Bottles. The high-quality and reusable Water Bottles made from transparent polypropylene are recyclable and free from harmful substances.
