ONE TREE PLANTED

One Tree Planted is a non-profit organization focused on global reforestation. Their projects are carried out in collaboration with local communities and knowledgeable experts to make an impact for nature, people and wildlife. Reforestation helps to rebuild forests after fires and floods, create jobs for social purposes and restore biodiversity. Many projects have overlapping objectives, creating a combination of benefits that contribute to achieving the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

OUR CONTRIBUTION

We are working with One Tree Planted to support the sustainable reforestation of degraded rainforest - currently in Sumatra. As part of this project, participating farmers on Bangka Island will establish a series of mixed agroforestry white pepper plantations totaling over 60 hectares. This project is a true community project. Through the capacity building program, bell pepper farmers will receive the training and resources they need to implement mixed agroforestry systems on their farms while serving as role models for others. In this way, participating farmers become key stakeholders in the success of this tree planting campaign on their own land.
