BPA free water bottles - but what exactly is BPA?  

BPA stands for Bisphenol A - a chemical substance that is used for the production of plastic. Which is why it can be found in water bottles or food containers. BPA is all over the news but what's the problem with Bisphenol A? Bisphenol A releases hormone-like substances into food. When ingested, these can interfere with the human hormone balance. In concrete terms, this means that the substances from BPA can have a developmentally inhibiting effect on the physical development of children, as well as promoting various diseases, regardless of age. The reason why Bisphenol A is prohibited to use in the production of baby feeding bottles. You can purchase children's drinking bottles entirely without BPA in the SIGG online shop. Like Bisphenol A, phthalates can interfere with you hormonal balance and may promote diseases. On top of that they are harmful to the environment and can accumulate in house dust.
