Are SIGG bottles suitable for microwave use?
The bottles must not be placed in the microwave, on a hot stove, in a hot oven or in the freezer.
Can hot water be poured into an aluminum bottle?
Aluminium is an excellent conductor of heat. This means that the temperature of the liquid is also noticeable on the outside of the
drinking bottle. We therefore recommend filling it with water at a maximum temperature of 40°C.
What liquids can I store in SIGG drinking bottles?
All SIGG drinking bottles have been tested with many different types of drinks, such as acidic drinks, carbonated drinks, milk, alcohol, apple and lemon juice, etc. However, we do not recommend leaving drinks with natural fermentation processes, such as apple juice or milk, in the bottle for long periods of time. This natural process can encourage bacterial growth and create gases and strong odors that are difficult to eliminate.
Are the water bottles leak-proof?
All SIGG caps are waterproof. But caps and seals are also subject to normal wear and tear from intensive use. We recommend not washing the bottle cap in the dishwasher, but removing it, rinsing it with hot water and letting it air dry. It is often also helpful to replace the bottle seal where possible. This is available as a spare part from retailers and in our web shop.
What is the best way to clean aluminum, glass, and plastic bottles?
For aluminum bottles: Use cleaning tablets or mild detergent; do not put in the dishwasher.
For glass bottles: Clean by hand only, no chlorine or bleach, use soft cloths/sponges.
For plastics ( e.g., Tritan, polypropylene): Although partially dishwasher safe, hand washing with a mild detergent is recommended to avoid damaging printing ink, etc.

Prepare separately, enjoy with ease
This works just as well for cold breakfasts as it does for hot meals. Anyone who prepares oatmeal in the morning or takes breakfast leftovers with them knows how much they appreciate it when everything stays securely in place on the go—without spilling or needing to transfer it to another container. With an integrated spoon or one carried separately, the cup quickly becomes a practical on-the-go cereal bowl.
Materials built for everyday use
If you regularly take your breakfast with you, you want to be able to rely on it. High-quality materials like stainless steel are sturdy, durable, and neutral in taste. They’re particularly well-suited for delicate foods like yogurt, but also for cooked grain dishes where freshness and temperature matter.
As a reusable breakfast container, this cereal cup is a sensible alternative to single-use packaging. It’s easy to clean, feels high-quality, and will last you for many days—whether you use it daily or just occasionally.
For adults, children, and every morning routine
A muesli-to-go cup adapts to various life situations. It’s perfect for your morning commute as well as for a quick break in between. A simple, leak-proof solution is also helpful for children—especially at school or daycare, where everything needs to be safely stowed in a backpack.
Smaller portions are just as easy to take along as a filling breakfast for long days. What matters isn’t the product’s name, but that it works in everyday life: easy to open, closes securely, and is durable enough for daily use.
One cereal cup, many uses
In everyday life, the lines between breakfast, a snack, and a small meal blur. That’s exactly what these cups are designed for. They’re perfect for yogurt and muesli, prepared oatmeal dishes, fruit, or small snacks—cold or warm, depending on your needs.
Depending on the situation, the cup becomes a compact solution for on the go or, with a spoon, a full-fledged muesli bowl to go that you can use anywhere.
A great combination for on the go
If you want to bring lunch or additional snacks along with breakfast, matching muesli-to-go boxes are a practical addition. For multiple components that need to stay separate, these boxes provide extra organization. This creates a well-thought-out system for eating on the go—from the start of the day to your next break.
SIGG’s cereal-to-go cups and yogurt-to-go cups stand for well-thought-out solutions, high-quality materials, and a daily life that isn’t always predictable. Your breakfast can still be just right.
FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions About Muesli, Yogurt, and Porridge Containers
Here are some questions about our to-go solutions that we hear time and again.
Are muesli-to-go cups also suitable for porridge?
Yes. Many people prepare oatmeal dishes in the morning and take them with them later. The cups are well-suited for this, provided they seal tightly and are designed for daily use—regardless of whether the porridge is eaten warm or cold.
Can I use a muesli-to-go cup as a porridge container?
Yes. People who prepare their breakfast in advance and eat it later often use these cups for exactly that purpose. They’re handy, leak-proof, and easy to clean—practical features for on the go.
Are the cups also suitable for children, for example for school or daycare?
Yes. It’s especially important for children that food is stored safely. Small portions can be transported cleanly without anything leaking in the backpack. Ease of use plays a major role here.
For which meals are cereal cups and yogurt cups most commonly used?
Mainly for breakfast and snacks: yogurt with granola, overnight oats, porridge, or fruit. With a spoon, they can be used on the go like a small bowl.
Why is a reusable solution worth it?
Because it’s durable, reduces waste, and makes your daily life easier. A good cup can be used over and over again and adapts to different routines—whether for work, school, or outings.
